Jerry Hall has just hit the 48 hour mark of the World Record Dive that is taking place in the South Holston Lake at Lake View Dock. We are glad to report that everything is continuing to go well. All of the dive operations are going as expected, and crews are keeping in contact with Hall on a constant basis.
Dive Team Co-captain Jim Bean stated that “Jerry slept quit a bit last night, actually better than the night before.” Before Hall goes to sleep, he dons a full-faced mask and placed a small weight on the back of his neck. Dive team members continuously monitor his breathing underwater and hold an “ok” hand signal under his mask to remind him that he is sleeping underwater.
WJHL came by this morning and conducted a live interview with Hall, and WCYB-5 is on their way to conduct another. To conduct the interviews, he dons the same mask he sleeps in and is able to answer any questions that they ask. We will bring you the audio/video footage as it becomes available.
The dive team also reported that Hall reports that he feels great, and has had no problems. He finished the Fast and the Furious movies on the underwater TV and has started the Band of Brothers war series this morning. Hall ate apples for breakfast and a menu of all the available food items will be sent down shortly. All of the air tanks have been refilled, and the dive team continues to meet his every need.
We gathered these photos from Richie Leighton, one of the dive team members. We will continue to provide photographs as they become available. Our Facebook page is continuing to grow, and we would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
